DWDM

DWDM comprises WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology: a system that multiply data transportation of a fiber optic through many light beams, with different reaching waves. These characteristics enable the highest performance transmissions, adding ‘power’ to ordinary fiber transmission, reaching more than 100 Gbps. There are two types in this group, the first is CDWM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing), with limited and reduced quantity of channels, because fiber expansion is not possible, and the second, known as DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), improved and proper for network with more channels in a single fiber optic.
