1 – OUR BUSINESS COMMITMENT

 

WDC NETWORKS is committed to be a company established according to norms and rules in force in the country where it is operating, following and fully respecting the legislation. We understand that business success is translated into sales growth, profit for shareholders and pursuing satisfaction of customers, employees, and suppliers.
The company is committed with the society to create wealth operating in chosen segments, pursuing leadership, but believing that enduring institutions cannot pursui success at any price, and principles of ethics and social responsibility helps to create a sustainable environment.
We believe in innovation, in creativity, in service quality as differentiation and affirm that not always the end justifies the means. We want to win and grow, but keeping the reliability of our organization. We always search for quality improvement for products and services, organizational efficiency and quality of life to our shareholders, suppliers,  collaborators and their families, and satisfaction for our customers.

We believe that business ethics are not negotiable and we instruct our company collaborators to follow our values. The world needs entities that have responsibility towards society, the country and environment, to leave a quality legacy for future generations.
The behavior of each individual of our company needs to be aligned with these principles, but it does not imply that our code of ethics works as a behavioral manual or rigid rules, our interest is to use this code as an instrument to help professional and personal growth of each collaborator.
Our objetive is to build an even more successful, profitable and growing company and that this result is part of the environmental development where it operates, society where we live and help to preserve the environment to let our families to have a better future.
Our ethical principles:

A. Honesty and Integrity

We prefer to have honest and upright people in our organization rather than technical genius lacking character.
The company encourages that all relationships, inside or outside be based on facts and true information with foundations to prevent misinterpretations by any party.
We encourage that commercial proposals always have information that can be achieved to build trust.

B. Promotion of Human Development

The company cares as much as possible of health and well being of all stakeholders (shareholders, employees, suppliers and customers) and overall community.
The company makes efforts to maintain the working environment in proper conditions by following safety and hygiene norms, complying with local regulations in every city where it is established.
We reject exploitation of child work and all kinds of work exploitation, in any circumstance.
Our organization does not restrict nor inhibits collaborators to have full access to labor unions, associations and respects category’s collective agreements.
We support and implement food programs and for young apprentices where applicable.
We believe that by offering a supplementary health care plan to employees and their families is a way to enhance well being and thererfore, promoting growth as human person.
All activity that may collaborate to make relationship thrive are assessed and implemented as much as possible, such as fund for education, labor gymnastics, training and incentives to practice sports.

C. Sustainability

The company has operations with low environmental impact by nature, and we are committed to respect and promote the conservation of environment to ensure the future of our children.
We respect environmental norms concerning to our operations and we always pursue to go beyond what is required.

 

We mention as examples of this commitment:
  • Industrial unit in Ilhéus was built respecting the mangue area
  • Rain water capture for reuse
  • Sewage treatment system before disposal
  • Use of solar and wind energy for external lighting at unit in Ilhéus
  • Indoor lighting with 100% LED technology with low consumption and environmental impact
  • Sponsoring cells and battery collection boxes in the city of Ilhéus and region
  • Selective waste collection in all units

 

We are also concerned with the community around us and we support the local APAE (Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional Children), and Abrigo São Vicente de Paulo. We promote social and environmental activities and on regular basis, we collect plastics and PET bottles with mutual aid groups at seashore in Ilhéus, involving employees and the population.
D. Pursuing Excellence
Our organization believes that among factors for success and growt, the most important is the constant performance and increasing productivity in everything we do.
We are certified by ISO9001 and we belive that constant quality improvement processes are essential to create value.
The company innovation is incentivated in all areas. The company maintain Research and Development programs, linked to government organizations for incentive, such as INOVATEC, annually investing a percentage of its revenue in these laboratories.
